Job summary

Turner Industries in Monroe, LA is seeking a Hydroblaster to direct blasts of abrasive-laden air or water from a nozzle to remove scale, paint, rust, and dirt and to provide an even finish. This non-exempt role reports to the Foreman and follows site-specific procedures.

Essential qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 2 years of experience, and a TWIC card. Post-offer drug tests and safety compliance are required for all positions.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent
• Minimum two (2) years of experience required
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
• Safety requirements per client
• TWIC card required
• NCCER certifications may be required at some sites
• Written pre-employment qualification test
• Hazards awareness for hydro blasting equipment

Responsibilities

• Moves controls to adjust pressure and concentration of grit to obtain specified finish
• Wears gloves and a helmet/hood to protect against breathing sand-laden air and eye/hand injuries
• May mask areas not being sandblasted
• May order materials as needed
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction
