Job summary

Blackhawk Industrial Group is hiring an Industrial Cleaning (Hydroblast) Technician in St. Gabriel, LA. Earn $18-$21 per hour DOE. Paid training and opportunities for advancement are available.

You’ll join a crew, learn to operate hydro blasting units, and support refinery and plant operations. We value safety, reliability, and teamwork. No prior industrial cleaning experience is required, but willingness to learn and pass medical/drug screening helps.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Valid TWIC card required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred, not required.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical screening and drug test.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and do physical work daily.
• Mechanical or maintenance experience is a plus.
• Warehouse, construction, manufacturing or industrial experience is a plus.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must stay clean‑shaven for respirator seal.

Responsibilities

• Run hydro blasting units and other heavy cleaning equipment.
• Clean tanks, vessels, exchangers, lines and process equipment.
• Support plant operations with cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Inspect tools and equipment before and after use; report problems.
• Follow safety rules and wear required PPE.
• Work in heat, cold, confined spaces and at heights.
• Communicate with crew and supervisors to complete jobs safely.
• Travel to different customer facilities as needed.
• Work a flexible schedule with potential nights and weekends.

What You'll Do:

• Run Specialized Equipment: Learn to operate hydro blasting units, industrial vacuum trucks and other heavy‑duty cleaning equipment.
• Clean Industrial Facilities: Clean tanks, vessels, exchangers, lines and other process equipment.
• Support Plant Operations: Help with cleaning and maintenance work that keeps customer facilities running safely and on schedule.
• Check Your Equipment: Inspect tools and equipment before and after use, and report any problems.
• Put Safety First: Follow all Blackhawk and customer site safety rules, and wear the required PPE.
• Work in Tough Conditions: Handle heat, cold, confined spaces and work at heights.
• Work as a Crew: Communicate with your crew and supervisors to get jobs done safely and well.
• Travel to Job Sites: Work at different customer facilities as jobs require.
• Work a Flexible Schedule: We run [24/7], so we need people who can work nights, weekends, holidays, overtime and turnarounds.

What You Need:
