Acadian Contractors, Inc. is seeking a Hydro Technician to perform hydrostatic pressure testing, inspection, and verification of piping systems on project sites in Louisiana. You will handle test equipment, gauges, hoses, and fittings, ensuring procedures meet safety and project standards.

1.1. This document is a description for the position of Hydro Technician for Acadian Contractor, Inc. (ACI) facility.
2.1. A Hydro Technician is responsible for performing hydrostatic pressure testing, inspection, and verification of piping systems and related components.
2.2. This position involves working with pressurized piping, test equipment, valves, fittings, hoses, and associated systems to ensure they meet project specifications, safety requirements, and applicable standards.
2.3. The Hydro Technician must be able to safely prepare, pressurize, monitor, test, depressurize, and document piping systems while maintaining a strong focus on safety and attention to detail.
1.1. Experience working with piping systems, hydrostatic testing, or industrial construction/fabrication preferred.
1.2. Knowledge of piping components, valves, flanges, fittings, hoses, and pressure-testing equipment.
1.3. Ability to read and understand piping drawings, test packages, procedures, and pressure-test documentation.
1.4. Ability to safely work around pressurized systems and equipment.
1.5. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
1.6. Ability to work outdoors and in industrial environments.
1.7. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
1.8. Commitment to safe work practices and proper use of PPE.

These goals must be clearly communicated through their direct reports, with clear expectations while coaching, mentoring and empowering others to achieve the desired results.
2.5. Conduct periodic quality assessments of HSE processes to aid in their own coaching and mentoring of others demonstrating ownership of the results for such process implementation.
