Job summary
Eagle Creek Renewable Energy LLC is hiring a Hydro Plant Technician to support the operation of a hydro-electric power plant and water intakes. Safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental stewardship are emphasized, with a strong focus on reliability and efficiency of the electrical generating system.
You will conduct daily inspections, operate units, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate safety programs.
Qualifications
- Two years of related experience in a power plant or industrial setting preferred.
- Commitment to safety for employees, contractors and the public.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily plant and intake inspections.
- Start and stop generating units and auxiliary equipment per procedures.
- Conduct safety inspections and monitor security systems; keep logs and reports.
- Operate heavy equipment and tools including chain saws.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance to support plant reliability.
- Work on rotating weekends and holidays.
- Assist in developing plant safety and JSA procedures.
- Respond to calls at all hours for emergent issues.
- Coordinate and supervise contractors.
- Participate in safety programs.
