Job summary

TAPP Workforce Solutions is seeking an Electrical Engineer for hydro power generation projects in Washington. Engineers III–V will design, upgrade, and commission electrical systems across hydro facilities and their 230kV switchyard.

You’ll work with generators, exciters, governors, transformers, PLCs, and protective relays, supporting budgets, scheduling, and field commissioning. You will advise electricians and operators on troubleshooting and equipment design, review technical drawings, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
Experience in a utility or industrial environment; level depends on Engineer III–V.
Washington EIT or PE license a plus; Master's degree advantageous for senior levels.

Responsibilities

Designing, upgrading, and implementing electrical systems across hydro facilities and switchyards.
Working hands‑on with generators, exciters, governors, transformers, PLCs, VFDs, and protective relays.
Supporting project management for electrical projects, including budgets, scheduling, and commissioning.
Advising electricians, operators, and other engineers on troubleshooting and equipment design.
Reviewing, revising, and generating technical drawings and specifications.
Supporting compliance work tied to FERC, NERC, and CIP standards.
