Brookfield Renewable U.S. in Queensbury, NY or Potsdam, NY seeks an Outage Supervisor to support maintenance and capital projects on hydro turbines. You will develop the scope of mechanical work, oversee design and fabrication, and partner with regional Operations Supervisors.

Travel throughout New York up to 50% is required. Qualified candidates have an engineering degree, project leadership experience, and strong mechanical skills; salary ranges from $80,000 to $120,000 per year with a 10%

Formación

• Associate Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Project management or team lead experience (3 years preferred).
• Experience in the power generation field; hydro specific experience preferred.
• Demonstrated safe work habits and familiarity with OSHA standards.
• Familiarity with rigging, craning, confined space, work at height, and electrical best practices.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinating unit outage planning with the field Supervisor and energy production forecasting.
• Establishing and planning projects and project schedules.
• Prepare specifications and fabrication sketches for replacement parts.
• Troubleshooting and forensic failure analysis to avoid repeated failures.
• Developing preventive maintenance procedures.
• Supporting field supervisors for emergency repairs and covering roles when required.
• Maintaining project progress information, reports, schedules and accountabilities.
• Managing project safety, scope, cost, schedule and milestones.
• Striving for continuous improvement of unit availability and generation.
• Developing and maintaining a condition monitoring program for critical equipment.
• Coordinating with purchasing to procure materials and equipment as necessary.
• Being On Call to respond to emergencies.
• Other duties as specified by Sr. Operations Manager.
