Job summary

NorthWestern Energy in Great Falls, MT is seeking a Maintenance Team Supervisor to plan, coordinate, and oversee maintenance and major projects at hydro generation facilities. You will supervise craft employees, ensure safe, quality work, and align with the Superintendent Power Generation - Hydro Maintenance and Reliability.

The ideal candidate has an engineering/construction management background or equivalent experience, 5+ years in industrial plant maintenance, and proven supervisory skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management preferred or 8 years of equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years' experience in industrial plant operations and maintenance preferred
• 5 years' supervisory experience, formal or informal preferred
• Power generation experience preferred
• Good understanding of collective bargaining agreements and safety procedures and work practices
• Experience developing and managing budgets, cost controls, and schedules
• Experience using computerized maintenance management programs and reporting tools
• Demonstrated ability to lead safe working practices and knowledge of safety policies/procedures

Responsibilities

• Plans, details, coordinates, and oversees maintenance and special project activities for Hydro Generation facilities.
• Supervises daily maintenance craft employees to ensure quality and safety.
• Forecasts, schedules, and estimates projects and maintenance activities.
• Direct maintenance work tasks and monitor performance.
• Interface with engineering, operations, and vendor personnel.
• Lead special projects using effective change and project management techniques.
• Be on-call 24/7 as required.
