Job summary

PG&E in Angels Camp seeks an experienced Utility Worker-GC to perform basic electrical and mechanical construction tasks in hydro facilities. You may operate hand/power tools, assist journeymen, and support crews across the California foothills and Sierra Nevada regions.

Responsibilities include trenches, material handling, and adherence to safety standards. Willingness to travel and work in remote locations with variable environments is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Valid Class C California Driver's License by Day 1.
• Ability to work in all types of weather extremes.
• Ability to travel across PG&E service territory as needed.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds daily.
• Ability to work in remote locations and elevated areas.

Responsibilities

• Dig trenches and holes safely.
• Load/unload equipment and maintain site housekeeping.
• Perform construction work in powerhouses and switch yards.
• Use hand and power tools.
• Follow journeyman/supervisor directions.
• Read and comply with company standards and procedures.
• Work in a team and maintain safety at all times.
