Job summary

Mural Group in Apple Grove, West Virginia, seeks a Hydraulics & Lubrication Maintenance Technician to support a brand-new steel mill during commissioning and long-term operations.

You will install, inspect, repair, and maintain hydraulic and lubrication systems on heavy rolling mill equipment, read schematics and P&IDs, and perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on HPUs, valves, and cylinders. This role requires rotating shifts and reliable transportation to Apple Grove.

Qualifications

• Hands-on industrial hydraulic maintenance experience -- HPUs, valves, cylinders, high-pressure circuits (above 1,500 PSI)
• Centralized lubrication system experience (oil and grease lube systems for gearboxes, bearings, roll necks)
• Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics and P&IDs
• Steel mill, aluminum rolling mill, or heavy industrial manufacturing background strongly preferred
• Servo or proportional hydraulic valve experience is a significant differentiator
• Comfortable with rotating shifts in a demanding heavy industrial environment
• Reliable transportation to Apple Grove, WV (Mason County -- approximately 40 miles north of Huntington, WV)

$32-42/hr | Direct Hire | Major New Steel Mill

Mural is partnering with a global industrial equipment manufacturer to place a Hydraulics and Lubrication Maintenance Technician at a brand-new, world-class steel mill currently entering commissioning in Apple Grove, West Virginia. This is a direct hire position with a globally recognized OEM -- not a short-term contract. The facility is one of the largest and most advanced new steel mill investments in the United States, and our client needs experienced maintenance technicians to support their equipment through commissioning, ramp-up, and long-term operations.

What you will be doing

You will install, inspect, repair, adjust, and maintain all hydraulic and lubrication systems on heavy industrial rolling mill equipment. This includes hydraulic power units (HPUs), servo and proportional valve circuits, hydraulic cylinders and accumulators, high-pressure piping and fittings, centralized lubrication systems for gearboxes and roll bearings, lubrication filter skids and distribution manifolds, and hydraulic fluid quality and cleanliness management. You will read hydraulic schematics, trace circuit faults, and perform both planned preventive maintenance and emergency troubleshooting as needed.
