Job summary

Highlander Consultants in Florida is seeking a Product Engineer to join on-site, full-time, focusing on hydraulic power units and custom programming logic. You will gain deep product expertise, document knowledge, and serve as the primary applications/technical support resource.

You’ll translate customer needs into new product opportunities while collaborating with the engineering team and assembly leads, including electromechanical and panel shop.

Qualifications

• Engineering background (mechanical/electrical). Degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience in hydraulics, electrical systems, or industrial applications engineering
• Proven ability to translate ambiguous customer needs into concrete specs
• Comfort moving between customers and skilled tradespeople on the manufacturing floor
• PLC/control systems experience is a strong plus
• UL 508a experience is desired

Responsibilities

• Deep technical immersion and outward-facing market work in the same week
• Absorb knowledge, document it, and become primary applications/technical support resource
• Translate customer needs into new product opportunities
• Build relationships with the engineering team and assembly leads
• Be comfortable taking notes, walking the floor, or presenting to customers
