Job summary

MTS Systems Corporation in Eden Prairie, MN, is seeking a Hydraulic Test Technician to test, calibrate, and assemble hydro-mechanical subsystems according to engineering blueprints and BOMs.

You will interpret documents, meet quality standards, use hand tools and measuring equipment, and participate in process and quality improvements. A two-year cert or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

  • Two-year certification from college or trade school or military training in mechanics, hydraulics, or four years applicable experience.
  • Must understand and apply basic hydro-mechanical technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Test, calibrate, and assemble hydro-mechanical subsystems according to engineering blueprints, BOMs, and docs.
  • Meet quality, efficiency, and schedule standards.
  • Interpret engineering documents to determine results and processes.
  • Use hand tools, specialized tooling, and basic measuring equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair subsystems; diagnose problems and develop solutions.

Hydraulic Test Technician
What You'll Do
  • Test, calibrate, and assemble hydro-mechanical subsystems according to engineering blueprints and specifications, bills of materials and manufacturing process documentation.
  • Meet standards for quality, efficiency, and schedule.
  • Interpret engineering documents to determine results and processes.
  • Ability to use hand tools, specialized tooling, and basic measuring equipment.
Troubleshoot And Repair New And Customer Hydro-mechanical Subsystems
  • Diagnose problems.
  • Develop solutions and resolve performance issues.
Collaborate to maintain accuracy of documents and records per MTS policies:
  • Initiate modifications and/or improvements to engineering and manufacturing documentation.
  • Actively and accurately executes non-conforming materials process.

Participate in process and quality improvement activities.

Compensation Information

$24.60 - $34.95 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
