Job summary

Pro Services, based in Grand Rapids, MI, is hiring a Hydraulic Technician to repair hydraulic cylinders, valves and pumps. The role offers a direct hire path with 1 opening, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, and a pay rate of $24–$32 per hour based on experience.

You will diagnose, disassemble, rebuild, test, and document repairs, while working with a collaborative team that values quality and steady growth.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of hydraulic repair experience.
• Experience across a variety of cylinder styles and sizes.
• Full repair process: diagnosis, rebuild, and testing.
• Ability to read hydraulic schematics and electrical schematics.
• Accumulator knowledge.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow work instructions and specifications.
• Operate shop/testing equipment safely and independently.
• Work effectively in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair hydraulic cylinders/components.
• Disassemble, clean, measure, and inspect parts for reuse.
• Rebuild and reseal cylinders to specification with proper seals and parts.
• Work on valves and some pumps in addition to cylinders.
• Pressure test assemblies and verify against requirements.
• Read hydraulic and electrical schematics for installations.
• Suggest upgrades to prevent repeat failures.
• Meet quoted repair times without sacrificing quality.
• Document findings, repairs, parts used, and test results.
• Assist with inventory and identify replacement parts as needed.
• Occasionally work on pneumatic cylinders.
