Job summary

Motion Industries in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Hydraulic Technician II to diagnose, disassemble, repair and test hydraulic systems for customer equipment. This hands-on shop role emphasizes root-cause analysis, precision rebuilding and thorough testing to return units to like-new condition.

Responsibilities include reading hydraulic schematics, fabricating as needed, and clear communication with customers. A high school diploma is required and a valid driver’s license is preferred to support

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of hydraulics, fluid power systems, electrical systems and mechanical systems.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and rebuild hydraulic units.
• Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics and diagrams.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and safety consciousness.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on customer-owned hydraulic and fluid power equipment.
• Fully disassemble, clean, inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and rebuild hydraulic units and system components.
• Identify root causes of failure and recommend repair solutions.
• Read and interpret hydraulic schematics and technical diagrams.
• Prepare job documentation listing required parts and scope of work.
• Design, fabricate, machine, and weld parts and components as needed.
• Repair and assemble hydraulic, fluid power, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Test rebuilt equipment to ensure performance and reliability.
• Prepare repaired equipment for shipment or long-term storage.
• Communicate clearly with customers to explain diagnoses and recommended repairs.
• Assist with quotes and customer orders when needed.
