Job summary

Buffalo Lift Trucks & Vitan Equipment is seeking an experienced Forklift Technician / Field Service Mechanic to troubleshoot and repair heavy-duty material handling equipment directly at customer locations across the assigned territory.

You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure safety and compliance while keeping customers up and running with timely service and clear communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience repairing forklifts, heavy equipment, diesel trucks, or related machinery.
• Strong diagnostic instincts and a safety-first mindset on the job.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record to operate company service vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems directly at customer locations.
• Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs to keep local businesses running.
• Hit the road across your assigned territory—no staying in the shop every day.
• Ensure all equipment is safe, compliant, and up to solid operating standards.
• Log your service work accurately via mobile dispatch and communicate updates clearly.
