Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling seeks a Senior Hydraulic Technician to perform complex diagnostics, advanced repairs, and complete overhauls of hydraulic systems in our shop, ensuring all work meets manufacturer specifications and safety standards.

You will troubleshoot, assemble components, and test functionality, reading schematics and maintaining detailed repair records. The role requires 3–5 years of hydraulic maintenance experience and flexibility for nights/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years performing repair and maintenance on hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors, and valves.
• Ability to read hydraulic schematics and parts breakdowns.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication with internal/external customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics, tear down, inspection, and overhaul of hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, and integrated systems.
• Interpret complex hydraulic schematics to identify issues and solutions.
• Assemble and test hydraulic components; accumulate parts for assembly.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and labor time.
• May assist in other areas of hydraulic shop as needed.
