Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking a skilled technician to tear down and evaluate components sent for repair, read schematics and blueprints, and operate hydraulic test equipment.

You will use hand and power tools, run test stands, troubleshoot circuits, and prepare quotes in Excel/Word while coordinating with vendors. This role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Location: Maryland Heights, MO; full-time with set hours and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Hands-on teardown and evaluation of repair components.
• Ability to read schematics/diagrams/blueprints.
• Experience with hydraulic test equipment and testing.

Responsibilities

• Tear down and evaluation of components sent in for repair.
• Using hand/power tools and machining equipment (i.e., drill press, lapping machine, lathe).
• Reading schematics/diagrams/blueprints.
• Hydraulic test equipment operation, including flow meters, data acquisition, multimeter, calibrators.
• Testing hydraulic systems and troubleshooting circuits.
• Test stand operation and vendor communication for parts and service.
• Component assembly and hydraulic component failure analysis.
• Working with Microsoft Office programs and quoting repairs in Excel and Word.
• Emailing documents in Outlook and other duties as assigned.
