Job summary

Lehigh Heavy Forge Corporation is seeking a Fluid Systems Designer to develop and improve hydraulic system drawings and design documents for the Hydraulic Power Unit and related areas. The role collaborates with Sales, Engineering, Production, and Management to support ongoing projects from development through implementation.

Ideal candidates will have formal Mechanical Technology training and 5+ years of experience reading engineering drawings, with proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor 3D,

Qualifications

• Degree or certification in Mechanical Technology, or trained as a Mechanical Designer/Drafter with related experience along with a High School diploma or GED.
• Proficient in the use of MS Windows and AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and related documentation systems.
• Strong organization, time management, and detail-oriented skills.
• Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
• 5+ years of experience reading and interpreting Engineering documents.

Responsibilities

• Design hydraulic systems based on schematics, BOM, and related documents.
• Provide drawings, schematics, BOMs, and test procedures for hydraulic systems.
• Review customer specifications and supporting documentation in detail.
• Travel to facilities, customers, and suppliers to support projects as needed.
• Provide technical support for Sales, Customer Service, and other functions.
• Support fabrication shop and manage assigned jobs with testing and debugging.
• Work with teams to ensure drawings convey accurate information and meet ISO requirements.
• Attend design reviews and participate in meetings focused on design.
