Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, a 100% employee-owned engineering firm, seeks a Civil Engineer with 0–5 years of experience for design and analysis tasks in a consulting environment. You will interpret and organize assignments, support hydrologic computations, and contribute to construction documents under supervision in a team setting.

Requirements include a ABET-accredited civil engineering degree, strong communication skills, and proficiency with standard design software and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field from ABET accredited engineering program.
• 0-5 years of experience in civil engineering or related field.
• Proficient in discipline specific design software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, aerial photography and other topographical or geologic data to support engineering tasks.
• Support watershed delineation, drainage area mapping, and hydrologic computations for stormwater management and drainage design.
• Assist in designing projects in accordance with client specifications and guidelines using design software and drawing tools.
• Assist with developing the project quantities and construction cost estimate.
• Assist in the preparation of engineering documents for advertisement and construction.
• Support preparation of stormwater reports, permit exhibits, design calculations, and design narratives.
