Job summary

England-Thims & Miller, Inc. is seeking a Utility Modeling Engineer to support planning, analysis, and design of complex water, wastewater, and reclaimed water systems in Orlando.

This role emphasizes strong hydraulic modeling experience, data-driven decision making, and developing master utility plans for large infrastructure projects. You will use Bentley WaterGEMS and WaterCAD to build and calibrate models, support multi‑phase development, lift stations, force mains, and coordinating with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in utility engineering and hydraulic modeling.
• Advanced proficiency with Bentley WaterGEMS and Bentley WaterCAD.
• Experience developing water distribution, wastewater, and reclaimed water models.
• Experience supporting utility master planning studies and phased development projects.
• Knowledge of lift station design, pump selection, and wastewater conveyance systems.
• Familiarity with GIS integration and utility data management.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and calibrate hydraulic models for water, wastewater, and reclaimed water systems.
• Utilize Bentley WaterGEMS and WaterCAD to evaluate system performance under various conditions.
• Analyze pressures, velocities, fire flow, storage, and reliability; conduct scenario analyses.
• Develop recommendations for system optimization and capital improvement planning.
• Create and manage master utility models for large multi-phase development projects.
• Coordinate with land development teams to integrate utility planning into site development.
• Support design teams with hydraulic modeling for engineering reports and permit applications.
• Mentor engineers and designers in hydraulic modeling principles and best practices.
