Job summary

Cable Services Company in Greenville, SC is seeking an Equipment Operator to run Hydraulic Excavators, Skid Steer Loader, and Dozer for underground utility projects. You will inspect equipment, set up, and support trenching and conduit placement with attention to safety and efficiency.

You'll read engineering plans, locate utilities, and work with the crew to complete digs, backfills, and restoration. Travel may be required; a Class A CDL is preferred and the role offers full benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering/construction prints, plans, and specifications.
• Possess general knowledge of construction practices.
• Ability to work in environments with varying noise levels and outdoors in different weather conditions.
• Ability to travel and lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.
• Willing to work 5-7 days a week and long hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment securely.
• Transport tools and materials safely.
• Complete daily equipment inspections.
• Operate equipment to place underground utilities with crew.
• Locate existing utilities and verify them per blueprints.
• Dig pits, trenches, or potholes as required.
• Restore disturbed areas post-work.
• Complete company documentation (timesheets, logs, reports).
• Adhere to safety policies and work safely.
