Job summary

iLocatum is seeking a Hydraulic Engineer in Charlotte, NC to work on impactful transportation and infrastructure projects. You will engage with senior engineers on design work for stormwater, drainage, and culvert systems, starting from day one.

This role offers direct involvement in hydrologic analysis, design processes, and mentorship aimed at achieving P.E. licensure. The firm is well-established with significant NCDOT clientele, ensuring continual high-impact projects across the Southeast.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hydraulic, hydrology, or civil engineering design experience.
• Hands-on experience with stormwater and drainage design.
• EIT certification (held or in progress).

Responsibilities

• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis on projects.
• Design stormwater systems and roadway drainage.
• Collaborate with the team on project schedules and deliverables.

Skills

Hydraulic engineering design experience

Proficiency in HEC-RAS

Understanding of NCDOT standards

Civil engineering knowledge

Education

B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field
