Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Service Technician II to repair, service, and build hydraulic, fluid power, electrical, and mechanical systems in our service shop. You will disassemble, inspect, diagnose, and repair components for customers and prepare parts lists.

You may design, fabricate, machine, and weld parts, test equipment, and assist customers by answering questions and providing quotes. Overtime and weekend work may be required, must work safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Must read hydraulic schematics.
• Strong communication skills required.
• Basic mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to operate shop equipment safely.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on assigned customer products in the service shop.
• Disassemble, clean, and inspect system components for repair.
• Diagnose system components and recommend a solution to the customer.
• Prepare job form listing parts and works necessary to perform the repair.
• Design, fabricate, machines, and welds parts and components.
• Repairs hydraulic, fluid power, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Assembles new and repaired equipment.
• Tests repaired equipment for performance and prepares for shipment or long-term storage.
• Assist customers by answering specific technical questions to help the customer understand the work to be done.
• Responds to customer inquiries regarding products, provides quotes, and handles order entry.
• Builds customer relationships to drive repeat business by relating to the customer and drive process improvements.
• Assists less experienced Service Technicians with addressing customer needs.
