Job summary

Motion Industries, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician II to repair, service, and build standard and custom hydraulic, fluid power, electrical, and mechanical systems. The role may involve guiding less experienced technicians and supporting customers with technical questions.

Typical duties include diagnostics, component repair, fabrication, assembly, testing, and collaboration with the service team to ensure quality workmanship and timely service delivery.

Qualifications

• Requires reading hydraulic schematics.
• Must communicate clearly with customers and teammates.
• Basic mechanical knowledge assumed.
• Ability to operate shop equipment safely.
• Ability to work independently or with others in a shop setting.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance on customer products in the service shop.
• Disassembles, cleans, and inspects components for repair.
• Diagnoses components and recommends solutions to customers.
• Prepares job forms listing parts and work required.
• Designs, fabricates, machines, and welds parts as needed.
• Repairs hydraulic, fluid power, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Assembles new and repaired equipment.
• Tests equipment for performance and prepares for shipment or storage.
• Assists customers by answering technical questions about the work.
