Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Service Technician who under direct supervision repairs, services, and builds standard and custom systems for hydraulic, fluid power, electrical, and mechanical systems. You will disassemble and inspect components, diagnose issues, prepare job forms, design and fabricate parts, repair and assemble equipment, test performance, and assist customers with technical questions.

A high school diploma or GED is typically required, with strong communication and safe

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to read hydraulic schematics.
Ability to operate shop equipment safely.
Ability to work independently or in a team with minimal supervision.
Basic mechanical knowledge.

Responsibilities

Disassembles, cleans, and inspects system components for repair.
Diagnoses system components and recommends a solution to the customer.
Prepares job form listing parts and works necessary to perform the repair.
Designs, fabricates, machines, and welds parts and components.
Repairs hydraulic, fluid power, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Assembles new and repaired equipment.
Tests repaired equipment for performance and prepares for shipment or long-term storage.
Assist customers by answering specific technical questions to help the customer understand the work to be done.
May provide quotes or take customer orders.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Performs maintenance on assigned customer products that come through the service shop.
