Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Service Technician II to repair, service and build standard and custom hydraulic, fluid power, electrical, and mechanical systems. Under supervision, you may guide less experienced technicians.

Responsibilities include disassembly, inspection, diagnosis, fabrication, testing, and customer communications. Overtime may be required to meet deadlines and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of shop experience preferred.
• Ability to read hydraulic schematics and diagnose systems.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and safe operation of shop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance on assigned customer products in the service shop.
• Disassembles, cleans, and inspects system components for repair.
• Diagnoses components and recommends solutions to customers.
• Prepares job forms listing parts and work required for repair.
• Designs, fabricates, machines, and welds parts as needed.
• Repairs hydraulic, fluid power, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Assembles new and repaired equipment and tests performance.
• Assists customers by answering technical questions and providing quotes.
