Job summary

Global Electronic Services is seeking a skilled hydraulic repair technician to join our in-house shop. This role focuses on component-level repair and testing of pumps, cylinders, valves, motors, and related components to OEM specifications.

You will own each repair from teardown through final test, performing teardown, inspection, measurement, rebuilds, bench testing, documentation, and release of units. In-person, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with strong attention to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hydraulic repair experience.
• Background in industrial hydraulics.
• Machining or fabrication experience is a plus.
• Ability to read hydraulic schematics and OEM manuals.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform teardown, inspection, measurement, and testing to diagnose hydraulic components.
• Rebuild hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves, motors, gearboxes to OEM specifications.
• Replace seals, bearings, shafts, and wear items with tight tolerances.
• Bench test and verify against specs; document findings and parts used.
• Own repairs from intake to final test.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized bench and shop space.

About The Role

Step into a dedicated hydraulic repair shop where your bench skills take center stage. From the moment a pump or cylinder lands on your bench, you own the process: methodical teardown, precise failure analysis, meticulous rebuild, and final performance testing to OEM standards. This role is exclusively focused on component-level repair and testing—no preventive maintenance, no facilities work, and no servicing of production equipment.

A Day in the Shop

Your morning might begin with a piston pump exhibiting pressure loss. You’ll disassemble, clean, and measure critical surfaces; identify worn bearings and shaft wear; interpret exploded views and OEM manuals; replace seals and hard parts; and reassemble to tight tolerances. After that, you’ll bench test, verify against spec, and document the repair findings, parts used, and results before releasing the unit. Throughout, you’ll keep your work area organized and safe while managing your own queue of projects from intake to final test.

What You’ll Work On

• Root-cause analysis through teardown, inspection, measurement, and testing
• Rebuilds of hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves, motors, gearboxes, and related components to OEM specifications
• Precision replacement of seals, bearings, shafts, and other wear items while holding critical tolerances
• Interpretation of hydraulic schematics, exploded views, and OEM repair manuals
• Bench testing and quality verification of completed assemblies
• Complete documentation of findings, parts/materials, and test outcomes
• Independent ownership of repairs from initial teardown through final testing
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized bench and shop space
