Job summary

Esi Electrical Contractors, Inc. in Burleson, TX is seeking a skilled trades technician to assemble, wire, and plumb new and used equipment.

You will read engineering drawings, follow PPE rules, and use power and hand tools to install electrical, hydraulic, and electronic components per drawings. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 3–6 months of related experience or an equivalent combination.

Qualifications

• Three to six months related experience and/or training or
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Install freshly painted components onto equipment per engineering drawings.
• Wire trailer electrical systems including lights and brakes.
• Plumb pneumatic brake systems on larger units.
• Install hydraulic components and plumb hydraulic circuits per engineering drawings.
• Install electronic components and wire electronic circuits per engineering drawings.
• Set pressures on hydraulic circuits and verify parameters for electronic systems.
• Perform system operation checks and take corrective action if necessary.
• Operate equipment to test functionality and spool rope/cable onto reels when applicable.
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and electronic issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Wash units after final inspection.
• Assist in maintenance of rental fleet when necessary.
• Performs repairs and preventative maintenance checks and services in accordance with appropriate maintenance schedules.
• Keep the tools and work area clean and organized.
• Keep the supervisor aware of parts and inventory used so they may be replaced.
• Complete applicable maintenance forms and records.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Hi gh school diploma or general education degree (GED) or
• Three to six months related experience and/or training or
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in the construction industry.

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Able to read and understand engineering drawings and schematics.
