Job summary

Emerald Coast Utilities Authority is seeking an entry-level Hydrant Service Technician Trainee to learn the installation, repair and maintenance of fire hydrants and valves within the ECUA water distribution system. You will participate in a 24-month training program and receive on-the-job guidance from senior technicians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 18+ age requirement.
• Must obtain Class A CDL within 24 months from date of hire.
• CPR certification within 24 months from date of hire.
• Water Distribution Level III license within 24 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of fire hydrants and valves.
• Assist with testing and flushing potable water systems.
• Operate various field tools and equipment.
• Assist with barricades and traffic safety around construction areas.
• Support with on-the-job training and career progression.
