Job summary

Loudoun Water, located in Ashburn VA, is a public utility seeking an Administrative Report Technician to support water meter performance, communicate with customers and departments for follow-up, and lead Loudoun Water’s Hydrant Meter Rental Program. Responsibilities include analyzing meter data, processing work orders, notifying customers of potential leaks, and maintaining related programs.

Requirements: high school diploma (associate preferred), three years in utility billing and customer

Qualifications

  • Graduation from high school; an associate degree is preferred.
  • Three years’ experience in progressively responsible and complex utility billing and technical assignments.
  • Three years of direct customer service experience, preferably with a public utility.
  • System knowledge and strong analytical skills required; advanced education may substitute some work experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Leads, plans, coordinates and enforces the Hydrant Meter Rental Program, including outside inspections.
  • Analyze the Advanced Metering Infrastructure, Meter Data Management System and BI reports; process Work Orders promptly.
  • Analyze meter usage data for irregular patterns.
  • Notify customers of potential leaks.
  • Create and complete work orders.
