Corvia Consulting seeks a Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney in Los Angeles, CA, with 1–3 years of California WC defense experience. The role is primarily in-office with a path to a hybrid schedule after onboarding and training.

You will manage California WC defense matters, represent employers and insurers, and handle hearings, motions, and settlements while collaborating with a supportive team. A JD, active CA Bar, and strong writing/negotiation skills are required.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school is required.
• Active California Bar license in good standing.
• 1–3 years of California workers' compensation defense experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of California workers' compensation defense matters.
• Represent employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators throughout litigation.
• Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and WCAB conferences.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.
• Negotiate settlements and keep clients updated on case status.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff for efficient case management.
