Job summary

Sedgwick is hiring a Workers' Compensation Claims Examiner in Riverside, CA. The role focuses on adjudicating complex California workers' compensation claims with a strong emphasis on client service and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of claims management experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and preferably a Bachelor's degree. California WC knowledge and SIP certification are required or obtainable within one year.

Qualifications

• 3 years of claims management experience or equivalent education/experience; HS diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• CA workers' compensation jurisdiction knowledge for 3+ years; SIP required or must be obtained within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and adjudicate workers' compensation claims to determine benefits.
• Negotiate settlements within designated authority.
• Communicate claim activity with the claimant and the client.
• Report claims to the excess carrier and respond to directions in a professional and timely manner.
