Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of workers' compensation claims experience, with 3+ years preferred. This position handles 100% workers' compensation claims, analyzing, investigating, evaluating, and resolving them in accordance with laws and company policies.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of workers' compensation claims adjuster experience required.
• 3+ years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigate workers' compensation claims by interviewing or corresponding with involved parties and reviewing supporting documents.
• Determine if additional services are needed and coordinate referrals.
• Oversee third party administrator to ensure compliance with claim handling instructions.
• Recommend acceptance or denial of claims within authority.
• Oversee negotiations for settlements within authority.
• Collaborate with legal counsel on contested claims and prepare supporting documentation.
• Maintain and file all required reports, including OSHA, DOT, and post-accident testing.
• Monitor claim reserves and adjust as needed.
• Pursue subrogation when appropriate.
• Perform other duties and special projects as required.
