Job summary

LHB Inc. is seeking an Entry‑Level Structural Engineer to join our Energy and Industry Business Unit, based in the Duluth or Minneapolis offices in Minnesota. The role emphasizes hybrid work, field and design tasks, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The position requires a Civil/Structural engineering degree from an ABET‑accredited program, drag-to-travel, and familiarity with AutoCAD or Revit. You’ll support calculations, drawings, reports, and client communications.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
Valid driver's license with ability to travel domestically.
Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
Ability to climb ladders, enter confined spaces, and work outside in most weather conditions.
Pre-employment background check and drug screen as required by law.

Responsibilities

Prepare structural design calculations and drawings under guidance of an experienced engineer.
Work in a hybrid environment and participate in meetings (virtual and in-person).
Assist with project drafting and field assessments of existing structures.
Support construction site visits and review of submittals and RFIs.
Contribute to written technical reports and client communications.
Collaborate with engineers and technicians to meet project objectives.
