Job summary

LHB Inc. is seeking an Entry-Level Structural Engineer to join our Energy and Industry Business Unit in the Duluth or Minneapolis, Minnesota offices.

The role involves hybrid work, learning under experienced engineers, and collaboration with the design team on drawings, reports, and field assessments. Minimum qualifications include ABET-accredited civil/structural engineering degree, domestic travel ability, and familiarity with AutoCAD or Revit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Valid driver's license with ability to travel domestically, intermittently.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Ability to climb ladders, enter confined spaces, and work outside in most weather conditions.
• Upon offer of employment, applicants must complete pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Work effectively in hybrid work environment.
• Prepare structural design calculations and drawings under guidance of an experienced engineer.
• Participate in virtual and in-person project and department team meetings.
• Communicate effectively and respectfully with design team.
• Assist with, direct, and perform project drafting.
• Work with other engineers and technicians to perform field assessments of existing structures.
• Assist with construction site visits and field observations.
• Complete requests for information and review of submittals.
• Meet client objectives, and exceed their expectations.
• Assist with written technical reports.
