This role focuses entirely on workers' compensation claims and follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Qualifications

• At least one year of workers' compensation claims adjuster experience is required.
• 3+ years' experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigate workers' compensation claims by interviewing or corresponding with all parties.
• Determine if additional services are needed and provide referrals: environmental services, independent adjuster, nurse case manager, or legal counsel.
• Oversee the third-party administrator to ensure compliance with claim handling instructions.
• Recommend acceptance or denial of claim within authority.
• Oversee negotiations with claimant or injured worker for settlement within authority.
• Collaborate with internal and external legal counsel for contested claims and prepare documentation.
• Maintain file documentation and required reports (OSHA, DOT, post-accident testing).
• Monitor claim reserves and suggest adjustments as necessary.
• Pursue subrogation when appropriate.
• Perform other duties and special projects as required.
