Job summary

Kleinfelder is hiring a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer in New Jersey/Philadelphia area. You will work with principal technical professionals to deliver the total lifecycle of client needs, including planning, design, bidding, construction, and funding support for water and wastewater facilities.

The role requires strong engineering experience, AutoCAD and BIM skills, and the drive to obtain a PE license within one year.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of civil engineering design experience focused on water/wastewater facilities.
• Experience writing basis of design reports and preparing process/mechanical drawings.
• Ability to obtain Professional Engineering licensure within one year.
• Strong organizational, communication and technical writing skills.
• Experience with water/wastewater unit processes and hydraulics required.
• Membership in AWWA/ASCE/Water Environment Federation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in lifecycle delivery: planning, design, bidding, and construction support.
• Assist with project funding applications and permit processes.
• Conduct condition assessments and basis of design studies.
• Develop process/mechanical designs and equipment layouts.
