Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants seeks a Project Water Resources Engineer/Scientist to work on urban stormwater and surface water projects across multiple offices, including Mt. Pleasant, SC. The role emphasizes hydrologic and hydraulic studies, green infrastructure design, and regulatory support.

Applicants should have 7+ years of relevant experience, strong writing and communication skills, and the ability to travel to client facilities. A PE/G.P./CPESC/CPSWG license within a year is preferred.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of research or related experience (required).
  • Experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling using EPA-SWMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to client facilities and conduct field work (required).
  • Excellent writing and communication skills (required).
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel (required).

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed hydrologic and hydraulic studies.
  • Develop green infrastructure solutions for urban environments.
  • Apply hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software (1-D to 3-D).
  • Conduct floodplain mapping and protection designs.
  • Monitor and model surface water quality in streams and urban areas.
  • Perform field investigations and provide construction support.
  • Prepare engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Develop erosion and sediment control designs.
  • Interact with client representatives and lead project teams.
  • Manage scoping, performance, and delivery of multiple projects.
  • Support business development and mentoring activities.
  • Travel to client sites and company offices as needed.
