Job summary

GFT is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Process Engineer to join our Water team in Denver, CO. This role operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring regular attendance at the Denver office and focuses on planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

The Water Design Engineer will conduct site visits, prepare reports, develop design plans and cost estimates, review plans for stormwater and zoning, assist permitting efforts, and provide field services.

Qualifications

BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering required.
1–3 years’ related water/wastewater engineering experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to present to clients.
Experience with municipal/private utilities.
FE exam completed or EIT within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

Participate in planning, design and construction of water and wastewater facilities.
Conduct site visits, surveys and inspections for utility projects.
Prepare reports and develop design plans, specs and cost estimates.
Review subdivision, land development, grading, zoning plans and stormwater plans.
Prepare permit applications at federal, state and local levels.
Provide construction observation and field engineering services.
Prepare grant/funding applications.
