Job summary

GFT is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Process Engineer to join our Water team. This role follows a hybrid work model and requires regular attendance at one of our offices in Florida, with a focus on planning and evaluation of wastewater treatment facilities.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Civil/Environmental/Chemical Engineering (MS preferred) and a PE license or the ability to obtain it within 6–12 months, with 4+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering (MS preferred).
• PE license required or ability to obtain in 6–12 months.
• 4+ years of wastewater treatment experience, especially in planning or process evaluation.
• Expert knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support planning and evaluation of wastewater processes (BNR, sludge handling, filtration).
• Perform site visits and analyze data to assess treatment performance and recommend improvements.
• Plan and execute bench, pilot and full-scale studies to meet project goals and develop process recommendations.
