Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a process engineer with 5+ years in wastewater treatment to develop and deliver complex engineering studies from concept through design in the Milwaukee area.

You’ll work on conventional and advanced treatment processes, model development, and data-driven design decisions while collaborating with internal teams and clients on diverse projects across the Midwest and beyond.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering preferred.
• 10 years of experience in wastewater treatment process design.
• Experience with using modern process simulators such as BioWin, GPS-X, Sumo, and/or Simba#.
• Effective written and oral communications, Drive for Results, Priority Setting, Planning, Delegation, Informing, And Listening.
• Eager to learn and contribute to team success.

Responsibilities

• Prepares complex engineering deliverables including process models and design memoranda.
• Supports multiple projects with complex technical challenges.
• Acts as a technical specialist for wastewater treatment technologies.
• Performs research to assess treatment processes and feeds data into models.
• Develops life cycle costs and environmental/social benefits assessments.
