Job summary

Atlas Search is seeking a VP-level manager to lead its mainframe infrastructure engineering teams in New York. You will oversee z/OS platforms, drive modernization, and mentor managers while coordinating with data center, production services, and development partners.

The role requires 8+ years of IT and strong leadership, with hybrid work and visa sponsorship available. Base salary ranges from $140,000 to $185,000 depending on location and experience.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IT with direct mainframe experience.
• Proven track record leading technical teams.
• Experience with z/OS maintenance and install of ISV software.
• Strong communication to influence stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree; advanced degree a plus.
• Preferred: JCL, ISPF/TSO, ITIL/ITSM; financial services experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead z/OS mainframe teams including JCL, DB2, IMS, CICS, and security.
• Coach and mentor managers, develop talent.
• Drive cross-functional work with data center and application teams.
• Run delivery projects spanning lifecycle of mainframe hardware and software.
• Advise on automation and modernization of services.
