Job summary

INSPYR Solutions is seeking a Virtualization & Cloud Platform Engineer for our San Jose location to maintain hybrid cloud and on‑prem infrastructure. You will manage Hyper‑V and Azure Stack HCI, Windows Server environments, SQL Server, and file services while building automation with PowerShell and Bash.

The role emphasizes monitoring, security, and collaboration with cross‑functional IT teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of virtualization and cloud platform experience (Azure Local and Hyper‑V).
• Strong proficiency with Windows Server OS and related services.
• Hands-on SQL Server database, backups, tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Experience administering SUSE Linux in hybrid environments.
• Expert scripting with PowerShell and Bash for automation.
• Experience deploying/maintaining monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Nagios, Zabbix).
• Extensive knowledge of Windows SCCM for deployment, patching, inventory, reporting.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain virtualized infrastructure using Hyper‑V and Azure Stack HCI (Azure Local).
• Manage and optimize Windows Server OS environments for performance, reliability, and security.
• Administer SQL Server databases including maintenance, backups, tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Configure and maintain enterprise file-sharing services with secure data access.
• Manage SUSE Linux environments within mixed OS landscapes.
• Develop PowerShell and Bash scripts to automate provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Implement comprehensive infrastructure monitoring solutions and address performance issues.
• Administer Windows SCCM deployments, patches, inventory, and reporting.
• Collaborate with IT teams to architect scalable, secure infrastructure aligned with business needs.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for infrastructure-related issues.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline
