Job summary

The New York Times is seeking a Video Production and Planning Coordinator to support the Shows department and scale new workflows. You will work closely with video operations, studio management, programming, and leadership to keep productions organized and on schedule.

In this in-office role based in New York City, four days a week with possible remote flexibility, you will manage multi‑part projects, draft production docs, coordinate talent and shoots, and help implement new workflows across

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years coordinating or planning in a newsroom or editorial setting.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace, Airtable, Miro and project management tools.
• Proven ability to track multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.
• Basic data analysis skills and comfort with spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and track departments' projects from pre- to post-production with teams.
• Draft production documentation and call sheets for shoots.
• Communicate project status to stakeholders and leadership.
• Coordinate scheduling and handoffs across time zones and shifts.
• Support shoots, welcome freelancers, and ensure smooth production runs.
