Job summary

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) is seeking a Video Producer & Editor for grant-funded work in Itasca, IL. You will create multimedia content for campaigns, lead shoots, and supervise post-production to deliver videos that meet communications goals.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in film/video or related field and at least three years' experience in TV/film/news production, with strong editing and storytelling skills using industry tools. Some travel and flexible hours required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in film/video/radio, digital media, communications, journalism, or related field.
• At least three years’ experience in television, film, or news media production.
• Expert level knowledge of video production procedures and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians, staff and partners to develop multimedia content for campaigns and sponsorships.
• Conceive creative storytelling approaches to meet health communications objectives.
• Develop scripts and storyboards; budget, allocate resources, and set deadlines.
• Outline, write, edit scripts for videos and webinars across audiences.
• Proofread captions and ensure adherence to style guidelines.
• Plan shoots, develop schedules and location lists; manage production flow.
• Operate on-set lighting, cameras and related production activity as needed.
• Oversee post-production including editing, color, VFX and audio.
• Write titles, descriptions and SEO metadata for YouTube and social media.
