Job summary

American Academy of Pediatrics is seeking a Video Producer and Editor (Grant Funded) to create multimedia content for AA​P activities, social media, and educational modules. You will craft storyboards, scripts, and conduct pre-, production, and post‑production tasks, collaborating with the Creative Production team to meet communications goals.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in film/video or related field and at least three years of experience in television, film, or news media production, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in film/video/digital media, communications, journalism, or related field or equivalent experience.
• At least three years' related experience in television, film, or news media production, including writing/scripting and editing.
• Expert level knowledge of production equipment, lighting, and post‑production workflows; proficiency with major editing suites and AI-enabled tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with AAP physician members, staff, and external partners to develop multimedia content for campaigns and grants.
• Conceive creative approaches to visual storytelling to meet communications objectives on child health.
• Develop scripts and storyboards; plan budgets, resources and deadlines for projects.
• Write titles, descriptions and SEO metadata for YouTube and social media videos and create compelling thumbnails.
• Manage all elements of post‑production including editing, color, audio, VFX, and motion graphics.
