Job summary

American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) is seeking a Global Health Programs Coordinator (Grant funded) to support the Global Operations and Program Development team in Itasca, IL. This role coordinates meetings, tracks expenditures, and manages grant-related materials.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of administrative experience, with strong MS Office and VM/website skills; some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, public health, health policy, or related discipline.
• At least one year of general administrative experience required; grants/healthcare nonprofit experience desirable.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute planning and logistics for meetings and events, domestic and international; liaise with attendees.
• Prepare and track grants, consulting agreements, and subcontracts; ensure compliance with funder requirements.
• Assist with grant reporting materials and other written documents per funder guidelines.
• Enter and track expenditures; process monthly statements and travel expense reports with proper approvals.
• Update grant-related website pages and assist with content for intranet and social media.
