Cicero Animal Clinic in Brewerton, NY is seeking a Veterinary Assistant / Client Service Representative to join our team in a unique cross-trained role supporting both the clinical floor and the front desk.

This entry-level position offers exposure to exams, treatments, client education, scheduling, and daily front desk operations, with a flexible 4- or 5-day week and a pay range of $17 to $18 per hour. Full-time benefits and opportunities to grow are included.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in veterinary assistant or related role preferred.
• Proficiency in safe handling and restraint of dogs and cats.
• Ability to assist with exams, treatments, and outpatient procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Support efficient exam room check-in and outpatient workflow.
• Assist veterinarians during outpatient appointments and treatments.
• Welcome clients at the front desk, manage appointment flow and multi-line phone communication.
• Scheduling appointments, coordinating patient arrivals, and supporting daily front desk operations as needed.
• Building positive relationships with clients through education, communication, and attentive service.
