Sun Dog Cat Moon Veterinary Clinic on Johns Island, South Carolina, seeks a Veterinary Assistant / Client Service professional for a hybrid role combining client-facing responsibilities with hands-on patient care.

You’ll greet clients, schedule appointments, process payments, assist veterinarians, restrain patients, and support therapies, on a four-day schedule (~33 hours/week) with no weekend requirements currently. Compensation is $16-$18 per hour, with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of veterinary experience preferred.
• Comfortable with dogs and cats of varying sizes and temperaments.
• Strong communication and client service skills.
• Ability to work confidently in both front-desk and clinical environments.
• Reliable attendance and a team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Greeting clients and providing exceptional customer service.
• Answering phones and responding to client questions.
• Scheduling appointments and coordinating patient flow.
• Supporting check-in and check-out and processing payments.
• Filling and preparing prescriptions and communicating care instructions.
• Safely restraining patients for examinations and assisting veterinarians.
• Collaborating on patient care and maintaining clean, organized spaces.
