Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, business, engineering, science, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical reasoning and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency with Excel or other modeling tools for regulatory filings data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate utility filings from electric and natural gas utilities and assess alignment with regulatory expectations.
  • Conduct in-depth financial, operational, and technical analyses to guide decisions.
  • Review and synthesize information from diverse sources and document findings.
  • Research and apply laws, regulations, and Commission precedent to analyses and recommendations.
  • Provide clear, concise expert recommendations to MPUC Commissioners and staff.
  • Collaborate with team members, external stakeholders, and utilities to inform the regulatory process.
