Job summary

Byline Bank is hiring a Jr. Universal Banker in a hybrid work arrangement in the Chicago area. The role supports Universal Bankers, handles cash vault tasks, and focuses on sales and service across bank products while delivering excellent customer service.

The position aims to grow deposits, business and consumer relationships, with emphasis on accurate processing, compliance and cross-selling opportunities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Some work experience preferred.
• 1+ years of teller or personal banker experience is a plus.
• Prior banking experience is preferred but not required; open to hospitality, retail sales/service, or similar customer-facing roles.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and directs inquiries to staff.
• Processes transactions and new accounts accurately.
• Implements process improvements to enhance the customer experience.
• Assists with opening and servicing accounts and identifies cross-selling opportunities.
• Promotes bank services to develop new business and expand relationships.
• Maintains accuracy and compliance in account documentation.
• All other duties as assigned.
